Do you have a sewing machine at home that doesn't get use because you just cant remember how to thread it? Maybe its still in the box because the whole thing is just too intimidating for you? In this program, you can bring your sewing machine to the library and you will get help setting it up, learning what all those funky knobs do, and give you the confidence to start sewing at home!
Please bring your machine, the power cord, foot pedal, manual, and any accessories that came with your machine. It will also be useful to bring your own thread, if you have any.
There will be a very limited number of machines available to learn on provided by the library. If you would like to learn how to use a machine, but do not have your own, please make a note when you register so we may set aside a machine for you.
If you do not have a manual for your machine, but would like one, please note your machine model (i.e. Brother XR3774, Singer Heavy Duty 4411) and we will print a manual for you to take home.
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a class where we make a project. This class is strictly learning about machines.
